Skip James was rediscovered later in life. A bluesman whose worn out 78s from the early part of this century had intrigued the likes of John Fahey reinstated his recording career in 1967 with the help of Fahey. Skip recorded two albums for the label before he died in 1969 and Blues From Delta contains the best of the two albums and two previously unreleased tracks. In addition, the bass has been restored to its full glory, an essential detail missing on previous reissues.
