Orchesterwerke Vol.3 - Symphonien
The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

In der dritten Folge der CHANDOS-Reihe mit Orchesterwerken von Aaron Copland (1900-1990) erscheinen neben der weniger bekannten, aber unbedingt entdeckenswerten ersten Sinfonie (in der revidierten Fassung für großes Orchester) weitere selten zu hörende Stücke des amerikanischen Meisterkomponisten. Darunter finden sich die expressive ›Dance Symphony‹, die 1929 nach dem kontroversen Vampir-Ballett ›Grohg‹ (1922-25) entstand und ›An Outdoor Overture‹ (1938), die gemäß der Intention ›American Music for American Youth‹ den Komponisten einmal von seiner breitenwirksamen Seite zeigt.
