Der achte Band der Gesamteinspielung von Giovanni Morandis Orgelwerken beleuchtet die italienische Orgel des frühen 19. Jahrhunderts, die zwischen liturgischem Gebrauch, theatralischem Geschmack und der Erneuerung der Orgelmusik angesiedelt ist. Zwei weitere Sonatensammlungen für die moderne Orgel entfalten eine weite Klangpalette und ein fast orchestrales Raumgefühl, bleiben jedoch der Messe als formalem Rahmen unterworfen.
