Ende 1980 legte Ozzy Osbourne mit dem Meisterwerk "Blizzard Of Ozz" das erste amtliche Metal-Album der Eighties vor. Supported vom exzellenten Saiten-Mann Randy Rhoads schießt der Ozzman glühendes Metall in sein Publikum. Besonders gut kommen hier "Crazy Train", "Mr. Crowley", "Suicide Solution" und "Revelation". Das enfant terrible der britischen Rock-Szene zeigte hier, dass er auch ohne Black Sabbath erfolgreich sein konnte.
