Vor drei Jahren starb Country-Ikone und Singer-Songwriter Guy Clarke. Mit »Guy« widmet Steve Earle seinem musikalischen Weggefährten, Bandkollegen, Freund und Mentor 2019 ein besonderes Album.
16 Stücke hat er dafür aufgenommen. Mit dabei sind Klassiker wie »Desperados Waiting For A Train« und »LA Freeway«. Eine erste Singleauskopplung gab es bereits mit dem Song »Dublin Blues«.
Unterstützt wird Earle auf »Guy« zum wiederholten Mal von The Dukes: Kelley Looney (Bass), Chris Masterson (Gitarre), Eleanor Whitmore (Geige), Ricky Ray Jackson (Pedal-Steel-Gitarre) und Brad Pemberton (Schlagzeug/Perkussion).
