Slayer-Fans dürfen sich 2021 über eine Reihe von Reissues freuen. Mit dabei ist auch »Haunting The Chapel«, die zweite Veröffentlichung der Thrash-Metal-Ikonen aus Kalifornien.
Die EP »Haunting The Chapel« erschien 1984, ein Jahr nach ihrem Debütalbum »Show No Mercy«.
Obwohl sie ursprünglich nur drei Songs enthielt, zeigt die Platte eine deutliche Entwicklung gegenüber dem Stil des Vorgängers und wird als erste Demonstration des »klassischen« Slayer-Stils angesehen, der auf späteren Alben zu hören ist.
Die Neuauflage von »Haunting The Chapel« erscheint als CD, als 180-g-LP auf Black Vinyl und als LP auf Red / White / Melt Vinyl.
