Jüngst stellte die mit Mehrfach-Platin ausgezeichnete Selena Gomez ihre neue Single »The Heart Wants What It Wants« vor. Der Song wird auf dem am 28. November 2014 erscheinenden Greatest Hits Album »For You« enthalten sein.
»The Heart Wants What It Wants« wurde nebst anderen von Gomez selbst und dem deutschen Musiker / Songwriter / Manager David Jost (u. a. Tokio Hotel) geschrieben und vom Hitmacher-Kollektiv »Rock Mafia« produziert. Es handelt sich hier um einen äußerst gefühlvollen Song, der von unerwiderter Liebe handelt. Das Video zu dem Track wurde vom renommierten und preisgekrönten Regisseur Dawn Shadforth (z. B. Florence & The Machine, Charlie XCX, Kylie Minogue und Oasis) in Los Angeles gedreht.
»For You« enthält drei bis dato unveröffentlichte Songs: »The Heart Wants What It Wants«, »Do It« und eine spanische Version von »More« sowie Remixes von »My Dilemma« und »Forget Forever«.
»For You« ist das letzte Selena Gomez Album, das bei Hollywood Records erscheint. Das mit großer Spannung erwartete neue Studio-Album wird über Interscope Records veröffentlicht, der Vertrag ist bereits unterschrieben.
