Antiphonals ist eine Rückkehr zur Klangpalette aus Mellotron, E-Orgel, Klavier und Synthesizer, wie das 2018er
Werk und 'Schwesteralbum' Let Night Come On Bells End The Day (Recital). Das Mellotron wird hier von seinen Progressive-Rock-Konnotationen zugunsten
seltener Samples diverser Blasinstrumente, Kammerorgel und Nylonsaitengitarre befreit.
Zum Tastenquartett gesellen sich stille Begleiter wie Violine, Stimme, Cembalo, Pfeifenorgel und akustische Gitarre. Antiphonals wurde reduziert nur mit RE-501 Chorus Echo und TEAC A-2340 Vierspur-Reel-to-Reel aufgenommen.
