Ray Conniff war ein US-amerikanischer Komponist, Arrangeur, Orchesterleiter und Posaunist. Er war einer der wenigen kommerziell erfolgreichen musikalischen Genies unserer Zeit, der Stimmen und Gesang als Teil der Instrumentierung anordnete und verwendete. Das Album »The Ray Conniff Hi-Fi Companion« erschien ursprünglich 1958 und wird jetzt auf Cherry Red Records wiederveröffentlicht.
