Dr. Hook hatte einen Riesenhit mit „A Little Bit More“, und Dolly Parton gab mit „Jolene“ drei Jahre nach seinem US-Hit ihr Debüt in den britischen Single-Charts. Auch die Country-Musik war durch Billie Jo Spears vertreten, die mit „What I’ve Got In Mind“ ihren größten Hit hatte – doch es war die niederländische Band Pussycat, die mit ihrem Country-Pop-Track „Mississippi“ die Spitze stürmte.
