James Cotton veröffentlicht seit 1965 Alben und gilt als einer der großen Bluesmusiker seiner Generation. James Cotton war Musiker bei Howlin' Wolf und Muddy Waters. So überrascht es nicht, dass dieses Album Coverversionen derer Titel »Moanin' At Midnight«, »Blow Wind Blow« und »Sugar Sweet« enthält. Im Jahr 2006 wurde James Cotton in Memphis in die »Blues Hall Of Fame« aufgenommen, nachdem er vorher schon mit einem Grammy für sein Album »Deep In The Blues« ausgezeichnet wurde.
