2022 erscheinen auf »Nothing But The Blues« Live-Mitschnitte von 17 Songs, die Eric Clapton 1994 auf seiner »From The Cradle«-Tournee zum gleichnamigen Album spielte.
Claptons langjähriger Co-Produzent, Simon Climie, hat die Nummern für dieses Album neu gemastert. Viele der Live-Versionen zeigen mit interessanten Unterschieden zu den Studioaufnahmen, was der Saitenhexer und Blues-Sänger außerdem für ein enormes Improvisationstalent ist.
Nothing But The Blues
The Blu-Ray was developed as a high-definition successor to the DVD and offers a significantly increased data rate and storage capacity compared to its predecessor. Blu-Rays can therefore store movies with significantly better resolution and offer enormously high picture quality on corresponding screens. Blu-Ray players are usually backward compatible with DVDs, so that they can also be played.

Eric Claptons lebenslange Leidenschaft für den Blues brennt in "Nothing But The Blues" hell auf. Der Film, der in den USA 1995 einmal auf PBS ausgestrahlt wurde und für einen Emmy® Award nominiert war, wurde für seine lang erwartete offizielle Veröffentlichung auf 4K aufgewertet. Der Dokumentarfilm, der von Scooter Weintraub geschrieben und produziert und von Martin Scorsese produziert wurde, enthält ein ausführliches Interview mit Clapton, das von Scorsese geführt wurde. In dem Interview spricht Clapton über seine Liebe zum Blues und den tiefgreifenden Einfluss, den Blueser wie Muddy Waters und B. B. King auf seine Musik hatten.
Viele dieser Künstler (Robert Johnson, Howlin' Wolf, Buddy Guy, T-Bone Walker) tauchen in dem Film durch alte Auftritte, Interviews und Fotos auf. Der Film enthält außerdem 20 bisher unveröffentlichte Live-Auftritte, die 1994 während der "From The Cradle"-Tournee des legendären Gitarristen aufgenommen wurden. Das "From The Cradle"-Album wurde mit einem Grammy ausgezeichnet und mit Mehrfachplatin versehen.
