Die legendäre britische Rock'n'Roll Band The Godfathers explodieren 2013 mit dem langerwarteten neuen Album »Jukebox Fury« - ihrem ersten kompletten Studioalbum seit 1995.
»Jukebox Fury« wurde von den Godfathers selbst produziert und erscheint auf dem bandeigenen Godfathers' Recordings Label. Die Godfathers waren bekannt für ihre heißen Liveshows und wilden Rock'n'Roll Nummern wie »I Want Everything«, »Birth School Work Death« und »Walking Talking Johnny Cash Blues«.
Gegründet 1985 veröffentlichten sie die Albumklassiker »Hit By Hit«, »Birth School Work Death«, »More Songs About Love And Hate« und »Unreal World«. Die Band aus London fand 2008 wieder zusammen, um das Re-Issue ihres bahnbrechenden Debüts »Hit By Hit« mit durchgedrehten Liveshows auf der ganzen Welt zu feiern und begingen 2010 ihre 25. Bandjubiläum mit einer CD/DVD Compilation ,»Shot Live At The 100 Club«.
Der Einfluss der Godfathers ist in den letzten Jahren stetig gewachsen: Local H und Spoon veröffentlichten Coverversionen und The Mars Volta nannten die Band als Hauptinspiration für ihr kürzlich veröffentlichtes »Noctourniquet«-Album.
