Flight of the Behemoth ist das dritte Album von sunn O))). Die Band arbeitete mit dem legendären japanischen Noise-Künstler Merzbow zusammen, der die Tracks 3 und 4 abmischte. Bei "F.W.T.B.T.", einer dekonstruktiven Interpretation von Metallicas "For Whom the Bell Tolls", wird zum ersten Mal eine Drum-Machine in einem sunn O)))-Track verwendet. Auf diesem Punisher ist auch der erste Gesang zu hören, der von der Band selbst stammt.
