Es wurde ursprünglich am 16. August 1987 veröffentlicht. Obwohl es einen Einfluss auf den Black Metal hat, wurden seine Texte und sein Sound weitgehend von frühen Death-Metal-Bands beeinflusst.
»Chainsaw Gutsfuck« wurde 2006 von Blender zum »Most Gruesome Lyrics Ever« gewählt. Die Deathcrush-EP war sofort bahnbrechend und setzte neue Maßstäbe in Sachen Brutalität. Das Songwriting selbst ist noch weitgehend von ihren Einflüssen abgeleitet, insbesondere von Venom und den frühen Bathory.
