Kapp Records wurde 1954 von den Kapp Brüdern gegründet, die auch für Decca US verantwortlich waren. Kapp Records veröffentlichte Künstler verschiedenster Genres und lizensierte Aufnahmen aus aller Welt.

Auf dieser Doppel-CD sind unter anderem Tracks von Carmen McRae, Jerry Keller, Eartha Kitt und Brian Hyland. Das Label wurde 1967 an MCA verkauft, die dieses dann 1973 einstellten.
