Die detailverliebten Boxset-Experten von Shout Factory haben hier ein 4 CD Set kompiliert, welches die wichtigsten 30+ Jahre in Iggys Karriere abdeckt.

Gewiss gab es bereits eine Flut an Iggy-Bootlegs, aber diese Box steht soundtechnisch wie auch inhaltlich ganz vorne. Die Tracks bedürfen zum Großteil eh keines weiteren Kommentars – ‘Raw Power’, ‘Dirt’, Gimme Danger’, ‘I Wanna Be Your Dog’, ‘Search And Destroy’, ‘TV Eye’, ‘Real Cool Time’, ’Kill City’, ‘Sister Midnight’, ‘Nightclubbing’, ‘Lust For Life’, ‘Real Wild Child’ oder ‘The Passenger’ sind hier natürlich allesamt vertreten.

Sehr interessant sind aber auch coole Coverversionen wie etwa von The Kinks’ ’You Really Got Me’, Them / Van Morrisons ’Gloria’, Frank Sinatras ’One For My Baby (And One More For The Road)’, Edith Piafs ‘Les Feuilles Mortes (Autumn Leaves)’ oder The McCoys’ ‘Hang On Sloopy’.
