Though not so well known in his native America, having scored only 1 top thirty hit there with "Ariel", he fared much better in the U. K., charting 3 times within 6 months in 1978, peaking at number 3 with "Lucky Stars". "Woman Of Mine", off the first eponymous album, made it to 52, and "Lydia", from the "Well Well", Said The Rocking Chair making it to 31. Singer / songwriter, Friedman made 1 more album for Epic in 1982, but these recordings represent the high point of his career.
