Zum 50. Jubiläum ihres Debütalbums legen Gentle Giant 2020 ihre ersten vier Alben erneut auf Vinyl auf: »Gentle Giant« (1970), »Acquiring The Taste« (1971), »Three Friends« (1972) und »Octopus« (1972).
»Acquiring The Taste« ist das zweite Album der britischen Progressive-Rock-Ikonen. Es erschien ursprünglich am 16. Juli 1971 und war das letzte Album mit Drummer Martin Smith. Es wurde wie der Vorgänger von Toni Visconti produziert. Mit 39 Minuten und 26 Sekunden Spieldauer ist es das längste Gentle-Giant-Album, das je erschien.
