Delaney & Bonnie Bramlett's first album was cut in 1969 for Stax Records and is 'blue-eyed soul' at its best. Backing is supplied by Booker T & The MGs, with Bobby Whitlock and Leon Russell guesting on keyboards not to mention William Bell, Eddie Floyd and big Isaac Hayes making for a rather spectacular backing vocal trio. Duck Dunn and Don Nix produced the sessions. Delaney & Bonnie went on to Atlantic after this and had particular success with the live recording of their revue style show featuring Eric Clapton on guitar and called simply 'On Tour'. Despite (or because of) the absence of any famous rock guitarists the 'Home' album is a much bigger slice of southern soul than any of their subsequent outings. First time ever on CD.
