Cornershop veröffentlichen im Mai ein neues Album mit dem Titel „Urban Turban – The Singles Collection“. Wie das Band-eigene Label Ampleplay mitteilt, ist das mittlerweile 8. Album ein Spaziergang durch Tjinder Singhs Kopf: „a summer breeze with an autobahn of electronic sound, Swedish and French songstresses, Lancashire primary school singers, and a throwback to his Indian folk roots.“
Cornershop stellen bei diesem Projekt ein Dutzend Kollaborationen und Remixe mit anderen Musikern vor. Das Album enthält 11 Songs (plus einem Bonustrack), die jeweils in Kollaboration mit einem anderen Künstler entstanden sind. Dazu gehören u. a. Popstar SoKo, Rapper Kay Kwong sowie elf Kinder von der Castle Hill Grundschule in Lancashire.
