Die wundervollen “Camera Obscura“ aus Glasgow führen in der internationalen Popszene bisher weitestgehend ein Schattendasein, auch wenn sie sich weltweit bereits eine loyale Fanbase erspielten, zu der auch der große John Peel zählte. Das könnte sich jedoch durch “Let´s Get Out Of This Country” ändern, denn das Sextett um Frontfrau Tracyanne Campbell liefert mit seinem aktuellen Album ein so brilliantes Werk ab, dass die Band möglicherweise bald zu den Topacts des intelligenten, melodischen "Retro Modern Pop" gehört.
Das Album, aufgenommen in Schweden und produziert von Jari Happalainen (The Concretes, Ed Harcourt), ist eine wunderbar runde Sammlung abwechslungsreicher Pop-Perlen, die so schön ist, dass man sie immer wieder hören möchte!
