Brandon Flowers, the lead singer for U. S. rock band the Killers will release his debut solo album titled "Flamingo" in September....Island Records said the 29-year-old frontman of the Las Vegas-based band recorded the solo album working with the same producer from the Killers' third album "Day & Age." Brandon Flowers, der zusammen mit seiner Band The Killers im letzten Jahr mit dem Song "Human" einen Klassiker schuf, veröffentlicht am 03. September sein Solo-Debütalbum "Flamingo". Das Album wurde von namhaften Produzenten wie Daniel Lanois (U2, Bob Dylan), Brendan O'Brien (Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine) und Stuart Price (Madonna, Depeche Mode) produziert.
The Killers haben seit ihrem Debüt "Hot Fuss" (2004) in kurzer Zeit auch das internationale Publikum für sich erobert und standen mit den Nachfolgern "Sam's Town" (2006) und "Day & Age" (2008) in den Top 10 der Media Control Charts. Es gab die Goldauszeichnung für die Single "Human", und das Album "Day & Age" steht kurz davor, Platin-Status zu erreichen. The Killers traten zusammen mit Bono (U2) und Chris Martin (Coldplay) auf und lieferten Hits wie u. a. "When You Were Young", "Read My Mind", "Somebody Told Me" und "Mr. Brightside" ab. Insgesamt haben The Killers weltweit über 14 Millionen Alben verkauft und gehören zu den wichtigsten Rockbands der heutigen Zeit.
