All Around Man
The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Es ist ein offenes Geheimnis, dass das Revival der akustischen Blues-Szene in den letzten Jahren besonders in Skandinavien jede Menge gestandener Musiker ins Rampenlicht der Öffentlichkeit geführt hat!
Eher zufällig trafen sich im September 2012 Jan-Eric Persson und Bottleneck John (bürgerlich: Johan Eliasson).
Nach einem weiteren Treffen und Probeaufnahmen im Opus 3 Studio im September 2012 galt es, die vielen gemeinsamen Ideen für das Debut-Album von Bottleneck John auf Opus 3 records zu ordnen. So entstand ein ungewöhnliches Blues-Album mit einer Auswahl sehr persönlicher und abwechslungsreicher Songs. Jenseits eigener Songs stammt ein Großteil des Materials aus der ersten Hälfte des 20.Jahrhunderts, das so viele legendäre Bluesmusiker hervorgebracht hat.
Neben Solodarbietungen wird Bottleneck John von seinen „Blues Brothers“ auf einer Vielzahl von Instrumenten (Flügel, Hammond B 3, Wurlitzer, Resonator- und Kontrabass, Percussion, Violine, Mandoline etc.) begleitet.
Der Mann mit der markanten Stimme liebt seine Resonator-Gitarren und bevorzugt einen trockenen, authentischen Sound. Als bewusstes Stilmittel eingesetzt mag das im ersten Augenblick irritieren, entspricht aber ohnehin der Aufnahmephilosophie von Jan-Eric Persson. Insofern rechtfertigt das Endergebnis einmal mehr den Label-Slogan:
