'Midnight Believer' is a collaboration between King and fellow labelmates of the time, The Crusaders, which combined a funky, contemporary style for the rousing 'Never Make Your Move Too Soon' and a buoyant 'When It All Comes Down'.
'Take It Home' finds B. B. interpreting several pop-blues tunes, many co-written by Will Jennings (Grammy and Academy Award-winning songwriter) and co-producer Joe Sample. The album features a seven-piece horn section and female backing singers and track highlights include 'Better Not Look Down', 'Same Old Story (Same Old Song)', 'Happy Birthday Blues' and the title track.
