Das avantgardistische Fusion-Werk bot einmal mehr Sensationelles: Tracks wie "Miles Runs The Voodoo Down", "Bitches Brew" und "Pharaoh's Dance" zählen längst zu den ewigen Masterpieces des modernen Jazz. Das Album wurde (neben sieben anderen Miles Davis-Longplays) in die "Grammy Hall Of Fame" aufgenommen.
