Im Trio mit Saxophonist Kafi Roberts und Flötist Aubrey Hart ist ein pures, wunderschönes Album entstanden. Auf dem seitenlangen „Golden Pearl“ mit seiner hypnotischen, fast meditativen Stimmung nimmt sich Tapscott immer wieder zurück und lässt die Bläser im Vordergrund glänzen, während er auf Seite B in einer großartigen Aufnahme des Clifford-Jordan-Stücks "Spellbound" beweist, was für ein erfindungsreicher Modernist er ist.
Aufgenommen in den Paramount Studios in Hollywood am 17. Oktober 1983.
