Trotz ihres großen Erfolges wurde Philip Glass’ Musik zu Neil Burgers Film The Illusionist (›The Illusionist – Nichts ist wie es scheint‹) bei der Academy Award Nominierung 2006 zu Gunsten seines Soundtracks zu Notes on a Scandal (›Tagebuch eines Skandals‹) übergangen. Die Komposition zu dem 1900 in Wien spielenden Film erweckt eine geheimnisvolle Atmosphäre um den berühmten Magier Eisenheim (Edward Norton). Die Filmmusik wurde ursprünglich auf Ryko veröffentlicht und war nach der Streichung des Titels auch nicht digital verfügbar. Auf ORANGE MOUNTAIN MUSIC erscheint jetzt die lange erwartete Wiederveröffentlichung.
