To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

In der zweiten Folge des Nielsen-Zyklus’ bei CHANDOS präsentieren Edward Gardner und das norwegische Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra ein Programm, in dessen Zentrum Carl Nielsens dritte Sinfonie (1912) steht; übrigens die erste seiner Sinfonien, die kommerziell auf Schallplatte veröffentlicht worden ist. Ergänzt wird sie durch die Sinfonische Dichtung Pan und Syrinx (1918) und das späte Flötenkonzert (1926), das bereits eine Hinwendung dieses bedeutendsten dänischen Komponisten zur Klassischen Moderne andeutet. Solist ist hier der exzellente britische Flötist Adam Walker.
