Bittersüßer Klangzauber
Die griechische Lyra ist wie die Gambe ein Instrument der Melancholie. Sowohl das eine wie auch das andere wurde im goldenen Zeitalter seiner Geschichte verwendet um dieses charakteristische Gefühl auszudrücken. Vor diesem Hintergrund ist es naheliegend, die beiden Instrumente in einem Projekt zu kombinieren, vor allem dann, wenn wie hier mit François Joubert-Caillet (Gambe) und Sokratis Sinopoulos (griechische Lyra) zwei herausragende Exponenten ihres jeweiligen Fachs aufeinandertreffen. In John Dowlands Klassiker der musikalischen Melancholie, den Lachrimae or Seaven Tears, werden hier Improvisationen von Sokratis Sinopoulos eingewoben. Ein Fest des bittersüßen Klangzaubers!
