Aaron Jay Kernis’ „Before Sleep and Dreams“ ist eine fünfsätzige Suite aus dem Jahr 1990, deren Vorbilder bei Schumanns „Kinderszenen“ und Debussys „Children’s Corner“ zu finden sind. Armstrongs eigene Komposition „She Fell for a Flyfisher“ schließlich ist eine funkelnde Miniatur.
