Zum 300. Geburtstag von Giovanni Battista Pergolesi gab die Fondazione Pergolesi Spontini 2010 bekannt, alle erhaltenen Opern des Komponisten – insgesamt vier opere serie, zwei Intermezzi und zwei Lustspiele aufzeichnen und auf DVD veröffentlichen zu wollen. Die vorliegende Produktion des Adriano in Siria sowie das Intermezzo Livietta e Tracollo kamen aus diesem Anlass im Juni 2010 auf die Bühne des wunderschönen historischen Pergolesi-Theaters in seiner Heimatstadt Jesi.
In der Neuproduktion von Ignacio García ist auch das komische Intermezzo Livietta e Tracollo enthalten, das als Zwischenakt-Lustspiel schon bei der Premiere von Adriano in Siria 1734 gespielt wurde. Das wunderbare italienische Sängerensemble der Accademia Bizantina wird vom Leiter der Akademie, Ottavio Dantone, geleitet.
