Das Montréal Guitare Trio, kurz MG3 genannt, ist ein Ensemble, das überall wo es auftaucht, Spuren hinterlässt. CBD (Canadian
Broadcasting Corporation) nannte MG3 «das heißeste GitarrenEnsemble
» Kanadas, und jetzt veröffentlichen die drei Herren aus
Montréal bereits ihr 6. Album beim Label ANALEKTA und feiern damit ihr 15jähriges
Bestehen.
Das Album mit 10 Stücken, besteht
zur Hälfte aus von der Folklore inspirierten Originalkompositionen, aber vor allen Dingen ist dieses Album ein Tribut an Künstler
wie der 2012 verstorbene Folk-Jazz-Giarrist Nick Naffin, der auch als « Der Prinz » bekannt war und dem Album seinen Titel gab.
