Biografie (Gary Schmidt)
Gary Schmidt wurde 1967 in Oak Park, Illinois geboren und studierte Germanistik und Internationale Beziehungen an verschiedenen Universitäten der USA. Er promovierte an der Washington University in St. Louis über "The Nazi Abduction of Ganymede: Representations of Male Homosexuality in Postwar German Literature" (Betreuer: Paul Michael Lützeler). Er lebt in Minneapolis und unterrichtet deutsche Sprache und Literatur an der Universität von Minnesota.
