Biografie
Colm Tóibín, 1955 in Enniscorthy geboren, ist einer der wichtigsten irischen Autoren der Gegenwart. Bereits sein erster Roman Der Süden (1994) wurde von der Kritik enthusiastisch gefeiert. Bei Hanser erschienen der Henry-James-Roman Porträt des Meisters in mittleren Jahren (2005), Mütter und Söhne (Erzählungen, 2009), Brooklyn (Roman, 2010), Marias Testament (Roman, 2014), Liebe und Tod (Hanser-Box, 2014), Nora Webster (Roman, 2016), Haus der Namen (Roman, 2020) und zuletzt Der Zauberer (Roman, 2021).
