Die Re-Union von Renaissance zu Beginn des neuen Jahrtausends wurde von den Musikliebhabern auf der ganzen Welt mit Freude zur Kenntnis genommen. Die populäre britische Band war besonders im Fernen Osten, wo sie im Jahr 2001 auf Tour ging willkommen.

Bei 'In The Land Of The Rising Sun " handelt es sich um eine Doppel-CD mit 15 Tracks, die „live" während eines Konzertes in Japan aufgenommen wurde.

Es zeigt eine hervorragende Sängerin Annie Haslam, die durch ihre Persönlichkeit in den 1970er Jahren das Progressive-Rock Ensemble mit seinen klassischen Prog-Rock mit Folk-Einflüssen berühmt machte.
Das Original Line-Up besteht aus den Bandmitgliedern, dem Gitarristen Michael Dunford, Terence Sullivan (Schlagzeug) und Mickey Simmonds (Keyboards) zusammen mit Rave Tesar (Klavier) und David Keyes (Bass).

The Renaissance revival was greeted with delight by music lovers around the world at the start of the New Millennium. The popular British group was particularly welcome in the Far East where they performed in 2001. ‘In The Land Of The Rising Sun’ is a 2-CD comprising 15 tracks recorded ‘live’ in concert in Japan. It features superb vocalist Annie Haslam, whose presence graces a progressive rock ensemble that first achieved fame in the 1970s with a charming blend of classical and folk themes.

Among the original band members are guitarist Michael Dunford, Terence Sullivan (drums) and Mickey Simmonds (keyboards) along with Rave Tesar (piano) and David Keyes (bass).
