Als WARPATH im Jahr 2020 ihre Fangemeinde mit einem brandneuen Track namens »Innocence Lost« begeisterten, machten sie sowohl Kritiker als auch Fans heiß auf mehr. Wenig später, im Jahr 2022: WARPATH sind mit ihrem siebten Studioalbum »Disharmonic Revelations« zurück; einem unerbittlichen Album, und dem ersten mit einer Zwei- Gitarren-wall-of-sound-Attacke! Ein wesentlich ausgereifterer Songwriting-Ansatz trifft auf schwere Riffs, unerbittliches, aber präzises Schlagzeugspiel und eine kristallklare, aber auch ultraschwere Produktion von Jörg Uken (Soundlodge). Über all dem thront Sänger Dirk Weiß, der sich dieses Mal stimmlich gewaltig gesteigert hat! Seine Bandbreite ist beeindruckend und reicht von gutturalen Growls über unerbittliches Schreien bis hin zu harmonischem Gesang. WARPATH legen im Jahr 2022 definitiv noch einen Zahn zu!
»Disharmonic Revelations« ist eine musikalische Achterbahnfahrt auf die beste, aber auch härteste Art und Weise. Songs wie »Vision And Reality« oder »MMXX« sind hypnotische, langsame Stampfer, die von krachenden Thrashern wie »Parasite«, »The Last One« oder »Resurrection« abgelöst werden. Psychedelische, fast post-rockige Momente entfalten sich in »Decisions Fall« oder »The Unpredictable Past«, bevor halsbrecherische, rasante Blastbeats die Schönheit des Moments unterbrechen... man weiß nie, was hinter der nächsten Ecke lauert. WARPATH 2022 ist anders, noch härter, gemeiner und düsterer als je zuvor! Brutaler Thrash Metal trifft auf Death Metal trifft auf N.Y. Hardcore trifft auf Post-Rock trifft auf Progressive trifft auf Noise/Wave trifft auf Avantgarde.
