Defensive Designs", die selbstveröffentlichte Kassette der französischen Band Unschooling aus dem Jahr 2019, wird nun vom Londoner Label Bad Vibrations erstmals auf Vinyl wiederveröffentlicht. Mit ihrer Mischung aus energiegeladenem Post-Punk und Lo-Fi-Mathe-Rock sorgten Unschooling mit ihren neun Songs in der Indie-Szene ihres Heimatlandes sofort für Furore und zogen Vergleiche mit Zeitgenossen wie Omni, Women und Preoccupations. Nach der Veröffentlichung von "Defensive Designs" folgten die EP "Random Acts of Total Control" (die ebenfalls von Bad Vibrations neu aufgelegt wurde) und die letzte Single "Shopping On The Left Bank". Außerdem tourten Unschooling durch Großbritannien und Europa und traten auf Festivals wie Great Escape, Green Man, Wide Awake, Le Printemps De Bourges, Levitation France, Dot to Dot und anderen auf.
