Ein absoluter Leckerbissen für U2-Fans und Schallplattenfreunde: Die britischen Rockikonen veröffentlichen 2018 ihre legendäre »Wide Awake In America«-EP erneut, und zwar als 12"-Single auf 180-g-Vinyl.
»Wide Awake In America« erschien erstmals 1985, jedoch zunächst nur in Nordamerika und Japan. Ende der 1980er-Jahre wurde die EP erneut auf CD aufgelegt.
Sie enthält insgesamt vier Stücke, darunter die beiden Liveversionen der Songs »Bad« und »A Sort Of Homecoming« aus dem U2-Album »The Unforgettable Fire« (1984) sowie zwei Tracks, die zuvor nur als B-Seiten in Großbritannien erschienen waren: »The Three Sunrises« und »Love Comes Tumbling«.
Eine kleine Rarität: Die »Wide Awake In America«-EP gibt es 2018 endlich wieder auf Vinyl.
