Twenty One Pilots sind ein Grammy ausgezeichnetes Musiker-Duo aus Columbus, Ohio. 2009 gegründet, veröffentlicht die Band nun nach drei Jahren Pause ihr neues Album "Scaled And Icy" . "Scaled And Icy" folgt auf das 2018er Album "Trench", welches in Deutschland auf #4 der Album Charts einstieg.
Zuvor veröffentlichte die Band ihre bisher kommerziell erfolgreichste Single "Heathens", die auch für den Soundtrack zum Film "Suicide Sqaud" genutzt wurde. 2017 wurde das Duo mit dem Grammy für die Beste Popdarbietung eines Duos / einer Gruppe ausgezeichnet.
Das neue Album "Scaled And Icy" ist während der Covid-19 Pandemie in Selbstisolation entstanden - "Scaled And Icy" ist ein Produkt virtueller Sessions, die über große Entfernungen hinweg stattfanden und begleitet das Duo bei der Verarbeitung ihrer umgestürzten Routinen, die Hand in Hand gingen mit den vorherrschenden Emotionen des Jahres 2020 - Angst, Einsamkeit, Langeweile und Zweifel.
