Remastertes Boxset mit 2CDs und DVD plus Bonus Tracks
Esoteric Recordings veröffentlicht diese überarbeitete und erweiterte 3-Disc-Clamshell-Box-Edition des 1977er-Albums Deadlines der Band Strawbs. Ende 1977 veröffentlicht, ist es das letzte Album der Band in den 70er Jahren.
Aufgenommen in Dublin und London in der Besetzung mit Dave Cousins ? ? (Gesang, Akustikgitarren, Banjo, Gitarre), Dave Lambert (Gesang, Leadgitarre), Chas Cronk (Bass, Akustikgitarre, Gesang) und Tony Fernandez (Schlagzeug, Perkussion). Mit den Gast-Keyboardern John Mealing und Robert Kirby war Deadlines das einzige Album von Strawbs für das Label Arista. Deadlines wurde oft unfairerweise im Strawbs-Kanon übersehen und weitgehend ignoriert. Mit dieser Neuveröffentlichung erhält das Album die Form, die es verdient. Um das Album zu promoten, absolvierten Strawbs im Februar 1978 einen bemerkenswerten Auftritt in der BBC TVund Radio-Sendung Sight & Sound in Concert (mit Keyboarder Andy Richards) mit einem 60- minütigen Set aus Deadlines -Material.
Dieses Konzert ist zum ersten Mal in diesem Set auf CD und DVD erhältlich, die von den Original-BBC-Tapes neu gemastert wurde. Zusammen mit 11 Bonustracks, die alternative Takes und Demos der Deadlines-Sessions umfassen, erscheint dieser Mitschnitt im Rahmen dieser Box.
