»Americana« wurde 1998 veröffentlicht und ist das fünfte Studioalbum der amerikanischen Rockband The Offspring.
Das Album war mit drei Hit-Singles auf Anhieb ein überwältigender Erfolg, debütierte als Nummer sechs in den US Billboard 200 Charts und verkaufte in der ersten Verkaufswoche über 175.000 Exemplare. Mit insgesamt über 10 Millionen verkauften Einheiten ist »Americana« das kommerziell erfolgreichste Album der Band nach »Smash«. In Deutschland erreichte das Album Platz 5 der Charts und wurde mit Gold ausgezeichnet.
Dass das Album einer der größten Erfolge von The Offspring ist, liegt sicherlich an den Punkrock-Evergreens wie »Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)«, »Why Don't You Get A Job?« und »The Kids Aren't Alright«, die bis heute weltweit in Radios und Discotheken rauf- und runterlaufen.
