Als Stevie Nicks 1981 ihr Solo-Debüt veröffentlichte, landete sie damit in den USA auf Anhieb einen vierfach Platin-dekorierten #1-Erfolg - ein Umstand, der mit ihrem Fleetwood-Mac-Background zwar nicht komplett überraschend kam, doch keinesfalls selbstverständlich. Es war der Start in eine immens erfolgreiche Solokarriere für die allseits geliebte Singer-Songwriterin, die bis heute acht hochgelobte Soloalben hervorbringen sollte, die sich allein in den USA nahezu 10 Millionen Mal verkauften und weltweit ganze Generationen geprägt haben. Ganz nebenbei ist Stevie Nicks auch die erste Frau, die gleich zweimal in die Rock and Roll Hall of Fame aufgenommen wurde, zuerst als Mitglied von Fleetwood Mac und 2019 zusätzlich als Solokünstlerin.
