»A Star Is Born« ist der Soundtrack zum gleichnamigen Remake des us-amerikanischen Spielfilms aus dem Jahr 1937. Regisseur Bradley Cooper spielt an der Seite von Lady Gaga, die eine junge Musikerin verkörpert, die über Nacht zum Star wird. Cooper und Gaga erhielten jeweils einen Oscar für den besten männlichen Hauptdarsteller und die beste weibliche Hauptdarstellerin, der Film als solcher wurde ebenso mit einem Oscar gekrönt wie der Song ›Shallow‹. Für den Soundtrack arbeiteten die beiden Künstler mit zahlreichen Country-Musikern zusammen, darunter Lukas Nelson, der Sohn von Willie Nelson.
