Der Soundtrack zum Film beinhaltet 28 Tracks, davon 6 teilweise brandneue Songs hochkarätiger Künstler und 54 Minuten Filmmusik von Komponist Daniel Hart. Die amerikanische Violinistin und YouTube-Sensation Lindsey Stirling schrieb den Abspannsong »Something Wild« mit Unterstützung von Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. Außerdem enthält der Soundtrack neue Songs der amerikanischen Folk-Rock-Band The Lumineers, der Sängerin St. Vincent und des Schauspielers und Sängers Will Oldham, der unter seinem Pseudonym Bonnie ›Prince‹ Billie auftritt. Der große Leonard Cohen ist mit ›So Long, Marianne‹ ebenfalls vertreten.
Film: »Elliot, der Drache«, eine Neufassung des beliebten Disney Familienfilms ›Elliot, das Schmunzelmonster‹, erzählt vom Abenteuer des Waisenjungen Pete und seines besten Freundes Elliot, dem Drachen. Stars wie Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World), Wes Bentley (Die Tribute von Panem) und Oscar® Gewinner Robert Redford wirkten an dem Film mit. David Lowery führte Regie und schrieb mit Toby Halbrooks an dem Drehbuch, das auf der Geschichte von Seton I. Miller und S. S.Field basiert.
