Die britischen Begründer des Gothic Metal, Paradise Lost, melden sich mit ihrem 14. (!) Studioalbum fulminant zurück und präsentieren darauf einen perfekten Querschnitt durch ihr bisheriges Werk zwischen klassisch hartem Metal, tonnenschwerem Doom und eingängigem Düsterrock. Zur Freude aller Fans wird der mit »In Requiem«, ihrem 2007er Debüt bei Century Media Records, eingeschlagene musikalische Kurs konsequent fortgesetzt, der Spagat zwischen Härte und Melodik fällt anno 2015 allerdings noch kontrastreicher und intensiver aus.
