Ned's Atomic Dustbin, deren Name aus einer Episode der Radiosendung "The Goon Show" stammt, wurde 1987 in Stourbridge, Großbritannien, gegründet. Sie sind dafür bekannt, dass sie zwei Bassisten in ihrem Line-up haben und einen spannungsgeladenen und sehr treibenden Sub-Hardcore-Sound mit verzerrten, effektbeladenen Gitarren und energiegeladenen Drums kreieren. Im Jahr 1992 veröffentlichten sie ihr zweites Studioalbum "Are You Normal?" Das Album enthält ihren amerikanischen Hit "Not Sleeping Around", der die Spitze der Billboard Modern Rock Tracks Charts erreichte. Produziert wurde das Album von Andy Wallace, der für seine Arbeit mit Slayer, Prince, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Paul McCartney und anderen bekannt ist.
"Are You Normal?" ist in einer limitierten Auflage von 1000 Exemplaren auf Translucent Red Vinyl erhältlich und enthält einen Druckbeileger.
