Irma Thomas' klassisches Debütalbum »Wish Someone Would Care« wird endlich neu aufgelegt. Der Albumtitel stammt ursprünglich aus dem Jahr 1964 und wurde von ihrer großen R&B-Hit-Single »Wish Someone Would Care« übernommen, die im März 1964 Platz 17 der Billboard Hot 100 erreichte.
Produziert von Eddie Ray und arrangiert von H.B. Barnum ist das Album ein absoluter Soul-Klassiker mit Titeln wie »Please Send Me Someone To Love«, »Straight From The Heart«, »Another Woman's Man« und »Break-A-Way«, der B-Seite von »Wish Someone Would Care«. Das Album wurde nicht nur auf 180Gr.-Vinyl gepresst, sondern enthält auch Linernotes inkl. Interview mit Irma Thomas, in dem die Sängerin mit dem Autor Garth Cartwright über diesen Teil ihrer Karriere spricht.
