Frank Lopes Jr. alias Hobo Johnson ist ein US-amerikanischer Alternative-Hip-Hop-Künstler. Mit 19 Jahren wurde er von seinem Vater aus dem Haus geworfen, weshalb er anschließend in seinem Auto, einem 1994er Toyota Corolla, lebte. Daraus entwickelte sich sein Künstlername Hobo Johnson, und auch der Titel seines 2015er Debütalbums ist seinem Auto gewidmet.
Nach dem Erfolg des Videos zur Single »Peach Scone« erreichte sein zweites Album »The Rise Of Hobo Johnson«, aufgenommen mit seiner Band The Lovemakers, #11 der US Billboard Heatseekers Charts.
Im vergangenen begab er sich mit seiner Band auf eine Headline-Tour durch Nordamerika und Europa.
Mit über 77 Mio. weltweiten Streams und 45 Mio. YouTube Views im Rücken veröffentlicht Hobo Johnson bald sein neues Album!
