Bei »24 Nights: Rock« handelt es sich um eine 2CD+DVD Standalone-Version aus dem »The Definitive 24 Nights« Boxset. Die Sammlung aus dem diese Version entstammt destilliert die Essenz aus Claptons Residencys in der Albert Hall von 1990 - 1991, indem sie die besten Performances aus den Rock-, Blues- und Orchesterabenden zu den kompletten Konzerten für jedes dieser Genres versammelt.

»24 Nights: Rock« umfasst die Aufnahmen des Rockkonzerts. Bei dem Rockkonzert spielte Clapton viele seiner Klassiker wie »Sunshine Of Your Love«, »Can't Find My Way Home«, »Layla« und »Wonderful Tonight«. Zu den weiteren Highlights zählen eine Coverversion von »Crossroads« und eine Reggae-Version von »Knockin' On Heaven's Door« mit Phil Collins an den Drums. Clapton präsentierte auch mehrere Tracks aus seinem damals aktuellen Studioalbum (»Journeyman«, 1989), darunter die Hits »Pretending«, »Running On Faith« und »Bad Love«.

Die DVD enthält zudem das komplette Konzert.
